Welcome to our special friends page. We plan to use this page as a dedication to those of you whom we wish to honor for your life long friendship and devotion. Periodically we will add a segment highlighting and characterizing our best friends in the hopes that by the time we all arrive for our special day, everyone from both sides of the aisle will have a background knowledge of each other to bond around.
Our first featured friends are Kyle Falwell and Alison Duffy.
Alison has been a friend of the bride-to-be since early childhood where the two met in the Mites & Midgets division of the Lynchburg swim league. Through their friendship, Alison became acquainted with the B-T-B’s younger brother Kyle. Kyle was still wearing headgear and braces then, so any possible attraction between the two at that time could only have been a one way street of desire. Ahh, but how the tables would turn!
Fast forward the awkward high school years, Kyle grew into a renowned horse trainer and an all around ladies man. Alison became a Mountaineer at West Virginia University. Though separated by distance, the two had one thing in common that has kept them in touch throughout life, and that is their love of the jam band Widespread Panic.
We are not sure what fueled their first hook-up, but we are sure that Panic was playing in the background. Even as the two have evolved and gone on through several intense relationships with others, it is the music and their zest for life which keeps them searching each other out. These two have been playing a text book cat and mouse game with each other for almost a decade, and it is our guess that it will continue for the next decade.
Don’t worry Kyle and Alison, we have a special song by a special band to play for you when we are all together in Bermuda!
Our next featured couple is Dave Mims and Teri Tumbleson, “The Copy Cats”.
“How Two Homes Became One (part II)”
Dave and Teri are two of our favorite people, they are an absolutely beautiful couple and we hope and are sure that if Teri catches the bouquet, and if Dave catches the garter belt, it will be to each other that they will be married. But first, we should briefly describe the happy couple and their relationship to the betrothed.
Dave is also a P3 Orion pilot, an honor he achieved after a few misled years spent in the Air Force as a rocket scientist. It is the quick and sarcastic sense of humor which brought Chris and Dave into friendship, not to mention that they spent a deployment together on the same air crew. Dave is also a close friend of Katie’s, a friendship he developed over many late nights on Katie and Chris’ front porch, spent doling out cold advice and harsh reprimands for the behavior of both Chris and Katie.
The only catch was that Dave was always jealous of Katie and Chris. Not to say that Dave was impure in his thoughts, rather that he had always wanted to date a neighbor. He could not stand that Chris had found his love in the arms of someone who lived so close…. Enter Teri…
Teri is also a close friend of ours who works in a hospital with children who are ill. She is a very strong and good-willed person. So strong in fact that she, like Katie, had to make the first move on her neighbor. When Dave moved into his new house after deployment, he was obliviously preoccupied with home renovations, and in his typical fashion did not notice the hot girl living next door. Teri on the other hand had noticed her neighbor, and after waiting and waiting, had to bring over a basket of baked goodies to lure Dave out of his home improvement induced hibernation. She was the only one awake enough to make Dave’s dream come true.
Ever since, they have been the model of happy couples, and we are happy to share our neighbor fetish with them.
